Oct 4, 0 18, 2. I know I know, the question looks stupid at first glance but here is why I'm asking. I just reinstalled Windows 7 after an epic battle trying to figure out why my system was constantly freezing.
The reinstall was successful and my computer has been working like a dream ever since. I went to gateway to grab any drivers that were not included with windows, and the Intel chipset drivers were listed there. Do i need to download chipset drivers, my do i need to download chipset drivers has been working great as is - but I don't know enough about computers to know if I "need" to download this set of drivers.
Basically, I'm paranoid of changing anything now that my system is working lol. What are the disadvantages of "not" installing this set of drivers? Something else? Love to hear your thoughts and thx in advance!
Oct 27, 47, 756, If you do not have the chipset drivers then some functions will not work! If you go into device manager you should see some yellow exclamation marks by items that do not function if you do not have the chipset drivers. If you are happy as is, why bother. I suspect win 7 already did install them.
